Why I'm Standing

I am a systems developer and problem solver with nearly 20 years' experience building and maintaining software systems. As a business owner I deliver practical, reliable solutions for listed companies every day, turning complex operational challenges into efficient, working systems that businesses can depend on.

I am ready to bring that same disciplined, results-driven approach to local government, with a focus on efficient municipal systems, better service delivery and accountable administration.

As a councillor I want to use technology to streamline the daily work of local representatives. Process automation, integration between systems and communication channels, and the responsible use of software and AI can help resident requests and councillor responsibilities be handled far more swiftly and diligently. That means fewer unnecessary delays, better transparency and more time for genuine community engagement. Technology is not a solution to every municipal problem, but better systems make the work of representing residents measurably easier.

I am a Christian conservative, a husband and a father of four, and I believe South Africa urgently needs common-sense, responsible governance.

My Priorities for Ward 90

01

Faster, More Efficient Municipal Processes

The issue

Resident requests move slowly through the City because processes are fragmented and handovers get lost between systems and departments.

What I will work for

Advocate for practical process improvement and integration where the City already has the systems, and escalate cases that stall between departments.

02

Better Service-Delivery Tracking and Accountability

The issue

Residents often cannot see what happened to a reference number, and unresolved faults quietly disappear.

What I will work for

Track ward requests properly, report back to residents on progress, and use that record to question departments on repeat failures and outstanding work.

03

Technology That Helps Councillors Serve Residents

The issue

A councillor's time is consumed by administration that better tools could handle.

What I will work for

Put reliable systems behind the ward office so that logging, following up and reporting are consistent, and spend the time saved on direct community engagement.

My Ward Is Part of a Bigger Helderberg.

My first responsibility will be to the residents of Ward 90. But I will not work in isolation. Our VF Plus candidates across Somerset West, Strand and Gordon's Bay intend to cooperate across ward boundaries and strengthen the Helderberg's voice within the City of Cape Town Council.

A vote for your local candidate strengthens the whole Helderberg.
